  • Concrete framing uses reinforced concrete and is common in high-rises and parking garage spaces. Masonry uses stone, brick, or concrete block construction for framing for small residential and commercial projects.

  • Post-and-beam construction involves large wooden beams and posts to keep the interior more open. Common uses are homes and barns.

  • Pre-engineered metal buildings are constructed using prefabricated metal frames. The frames are manufactured elsewhere and shipped for assembly onsite.

  • Tilt-up construction involves casting concrete panels on-site and hoisting them to form the walls of the structure.

  • Finally, structural insulated panels (SIPs) are prefabricated foam panels positioned between two layers of wood or cement board to form walls, roofs or floors. They can be used in commercial or residential, usually small, buildings.

CONCRETE & TILT WALL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

Rise Construction has earned a reputation for being dynamic, forward-thinking general contractors in Texas.  We focus on industrial, manufacturing and commercial construction in the Houston area, Central Texas and throughout the state.

  • 1.
Framing as Our Area of Specialty

Many of our projects are tilt-wall construction, an area we specialize in. Our main focus is industrial and manufacturing tilt-wall warehouse spaces. However, we have constructed six-story tilt-wall office buildings, tilt-wall churches, and others. We have a wealth of knowledge in the concrete trade because we self-performed for many years. Our expertise goes beyond big box buildings. We’ve constructed tilt wall projects in healthcare, retail, commercial and religious types.

  • 2.
    Strong Management of Framing Projects

We assign managers with experience for each project type and provide accurate early estimates. We offer constructability expertise, value engineering, and scheduling as well. Our high-quality projects exceed expectations.

  • 3.
    In-Depth Understanding of Framing

There are several methods to our concrete services and tilt wall construction.

Cast-in-place concrete involves pouring concrete into forms on-site. These forms make up structural elements like columns, walls and floors.

Precast concrete is when concrete elements  are manufactured off-site then dropped off for installing. Walls, beams, slabs, columns, etc. can be precast.

Tilt-up concrete is when concrete is poured to make walls on-site but tilted into place with a crane. It is a cost-effective measure for bigger commercial or industrial properties.

Flat plate concrete involves using a concrete slab for support for floors and roof. It is reinforced with steel rebar. Columns help support it. The post-tensioned concrete method involves implementing steel cables or metal rods tensioned after pouring concrete. This will provide additional durability. This method is also used in big commercial buildings.

    Practical Applications

We offer tilt wall construction for warehouse/distribution centers, retail centers, office buildings, manufacturing/industrial facilities, schools, religious centers, municipal/state/county government building types.

Tilt wall construction is well suited to large buildings with open structures. Finish shopping centers or office buildings with stucco, brick or stone. The durability of this method is well suited to industrial, educational and religious buildings as well.

  • Pre-engineered metal
    building constraction

Pre-engineered metal buildings are designed and fabricated offsite. Individual pieces are shipped to be constructed onsite. These are ideal for open floor areas in places like distribution centers or gyms.

The types of buildings that can be constructed include warehouses/distribution centers, garages, workshops, agricultural buildings, retail/commercial spaces and aircraft hangars. The buildings can be constructed quickly and easily, making them cost effective.

  • Wood frame constraction

There are a variety of buildings built with wood frame construction and RISE Construction are experts in this domain as well. Wood framing construction contractors build single family homes, multi-family housing, mixed use developments, retail/commercial space and institutional buildings.

Wood framing is versatile and allows for many types of architectural styles. It can be a cost effective solution depending on the size of the structure to be built.

  • Masonry constraction

RISE is a leading masonry construction company with highly skilled, union-trained cement masons and bricklayers. We can help you build a new building expand or replacing your existing structure. Our masonry construction methods include brick, stone, precast, block/concrete masonry unit (CMU) and veneer masonry.

We also provide concrete flatwork and foundations. Extend your building’s lifespan by entrusting our expert contractors to analyze conditions. We will tuckpoint, repair and replace weathered masonry. Protect your building against weather elements and blight.

Clay brick is durable and lasts a long time. They are popular with banks, offices and retail. Stone is used in many historical designs, government buildings, universities and museums. CMU is a cost effective solution for commercial buildings, parking structures and warehouses. Pavers are used in outdoor spaces and walkways. They are also used for patios.

  • Steel frame constraction

Most construction projects involve using structural steel framing and concrete steel reinforcement. They also happen to be among the largest bid packages on most projects and more vulnerable to supply chain disruption. Rise is a certified steel erector. When you use Rise instead of subcontracting to another steel construction company, you can better control costs and timelines because we are self-performing.

Light gauge metal framing is a common type of metal framing in commercial and residential construction and general contracting. Thin sheets of steel are formed into studs and tracks put together for walls or ceilings. Heavy gauge uses thicker sheets of metal for larger buildings. Load-bearing metal framing is a method that uses metal framing as the main structural support system for a building instead of just a partition or wall.

These are for projects that require high load-bearing capacity like factories or warehouse space. Cold-formed steel framing construction is the use of steel sheets formed into studs and track using a roll-forming machine. This way, we can produce larger quantities of metal framing parts. Finally, structural metal framing methods are when metal framing members designed for structural support are used. These are for high strength.
